Welcome to Kerala. St Francis Church welcomes you. Built in 1503, it is the oldest European church in India and the burial place of the famous Portuguese explorer Vasco de Gama. Drive pass Santa Cruz Basilica, an impressive church considered as one of the heritage edifices of the state of Kerala. The Chinese Fishing Nets line the shore and at the same time silhouetted against sunset presenting a magnificent sight of the waterfront. These dropping fishing nets have become a hallmark of the city and attracts a lot of attention. Walk along the beach walkway for a closer look at the steam boilers that used to push a ship across the ocean in Cochin Dry Dock since 1956. The Dutch established the Dhobi Khana in 1720 to wash the uniforms of their army. Today, you can find a group of Dhobis busy with their daily routine. Hop on an auto rickshaw from Dhobi Khana to Paradesi Synagogue, passing by the local bazaar at Palace Road. Also known as Jew Synagogue it is one of the 7 synagogues in the region that is in use till now. Return to your hotel for lunch with the afternoon free at leisure.

Have your breakfast as you continue your cruise before disembarking from our houseboat. Drive to Munnar. A hill destination worth setting your eyes upon! The rolling hills around Munnar, South India’s largest tea-growing region are carpeted in emerald-green tea plantations contoured, clipped, and sculpted like ornamental hedges. The low Western Ghats scenery is magnificent. Take a walk in the Munnar Town - a typical Indian Town with shops and guest houses.

The scenic place of Eco Point gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon. You can watch the beauty of the Munnar mist that is engulfing the green hills from 1 of the viewpoints. Mattupetty is an eye candy in Munnar. The Mattupetty Dam and Lake are celebrated tourist spots with an excellent view of the lake and tea plantations spread out to a wider area. You may wish to do boating on the lake at your own expense. The Life of Pi Church is among 1 of the filing site of the movie Life of Pi directed by Ang Li. In the film there is a full scene that captures the beauty of Munnar when the protagonist Pi visited the church. Drive past tea plantations with a stop at the Tea Museum where guides will brief you on tea production information on machineries, tea processing and tea tasting. Apart from this, you can also see collection of old bits and pieces from the colonial era.
