Step-by-step Instructions from SG to Turkey (VTL)

In general, Singapore passport holders do not require a visa for visits to Turkey less than 90 days within 180 days from the date of initial entry into Turkey. This is generally for social and travel purposes (e.g., vacations). If your intended travel to Turkey is for a different purpose, please check directly with the Turkish Embassy in Singapore (https://singapur.be.mfa.gov.tr/Mission) on the requirements as they are one of the issuing authorities for Turkish visas.

With effect from 1 October 2021, travellers from Singapore to Turkey do not need to provide a pre-departure negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test prior to travelling to Turkey, provided that any one of the following two documents is provided during check-in:

• Proof of two doses of vaccinations (listed by the World Health Organization (WHO) at https://covid19.trackvaccines.org/agency/who/ or Turkey) where the last dose was administered at least 14 days before arrival in Turkey; or
• Proof of recovery from COVID-19 within the last six months starting from the 28th day of the first positive PCR test result.

Travellers may refer to the Singapore Government’s website at for information on the Singapore vaccination certificate and to download a notarised copy if their records are registered. The notarised certificate includes personal particulars, details of the vaccinations and QR codes. Travellers are encouraged to have a copy of their vaccination certificate with them during their travels to facilitate verification.

Currently, there is no on-arrival quarantine in Turkey for travellers from Singapore. For travellers who exhibit symptoms and are tested positive on arrival, they will be referred to Turkish health authorities and will need to comply with the prevailing quarantine protocols. Overall, entry requirements into Turkey and Turkish COVID-19 guidelines come under the purview of the Turkish Government and travellers are required to comply with them.

Turkey have eased certain regulations , mask is still mandatory as long you are not in open-air area. Museums , hotel lobbies and lifts , airport , indoor area , public transport , tour coach etc , mask still needs to be worn. Mask should be worn in the restaurants unless you are drinking or eating.

It is not mandatory, however the government encourage social distancing safety measures to decrease the rate of infections

Travellers should take note of the criteria for the pre-departure COVID-19 test (PDT) to Singapore, where the report must be in English (or with English translation) and contains the details of the COVID-19 test and traveller’s personal particulars including passport number. ICA allows the PDT to be taken either as a PCR test or as a professionally administered ART (self-swab is not allowed), taken within 2 days before departure to Singapore. Travellers aged 2 and below in the calendar year (i.e., born in or after 2020) are exempted from the PDT.

If you are a Short-Term Visitor (STV) or Work Permit Holder (WPH) in Singapore, you need to apply for a VTP. Depending on your proof of vaccination, you may be required to upload your vaccination certificate QR code on the VTP application portal. You should upload the QR code(s) of your final dose only (i.e. first and second doses); regardless of whether you have obtained a booster dose.

A VTP is valid for 13 calendar days from traveler’s chosen date of entry. The traveler should reapply for a VTP if he is unable to enter Singapore during this period.

The enhanced 7-day testing regime for arriving VTL travellers will cease for those entering Singapore from 22 February 2022. In addition, VTL travellers will no longer need to perform an on-arrival Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test at Changi Airport. Instead, they will have up to 24 hours from their entry into Singapore to take a supervised self-swab (SSS) Antigen Rapid Test (ART) at one of the testing centres located across Singapore.
