Step-by-step Instructions from SG to Turkey (VTL)

Before Departure to Turkey

  • Visa Requirement

    In general, Singapore passport holders do not require a visa for visits to Turkey less than 90 days within 180 days from the date of initial entry into Turkey. This is generally for social and travel purposes (e.g., vacations). If your intended travel to Turkey is for a different purpose, please check directly with the Turkish Embassy in Singapore (https://singapur.be.mfa.gov.tr/Mission) on the requirements as they are one of the issuing authorities for Turkish visas.

  • Pre-Departure Requirements:

    With effect from 1 October 2021, travellers from Singapore to Turkey do not need to provide a pre-departure negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test prior to travelling to Turkey, provided that any one of the following two documents is provided during check-in:

    • Proof of two doses of vaccinations (listed by the World Health Organization (WHO) at https://covid19.trackvaccines.org/agency/who/ or Turkey) where the last dose was administered at least 14 days before arrival in Turkey; or
    • Proof of recovery from COVID-19 within the last six months starting from the 28th day of the first positive PCR test result.
    Travellers who are unable to submit the above documents will have to undertake a pre-departure PCR test in Singapore, to be taken within 72 hours of arrival in Turkey. Travellers under the age of 12 are exempted from submitting the proof of vaccination and pre-departure PCR test result.
  • Singapore Vaccination Certificate:

    Travellers may refer to the Singapore Government’s website at for information on the Singapore vaccination certificate and to download a notarised copy if their records are registered. The notarised certificate includes personal particulars, details of the vaccinations and QR codes. Travellers are encouraged to have a copy of their vaccination certificate with them during their travels to facilitate verification.

  • Online Health Declaration Form Travellers are also required to submit an online health declaration form to the Turkish Ministry of Health () within 72 hours of departure to Turkey and have either a hard copy or soft copy on hand for verification.

Upon Arrival to Turkey

  • Quarantine Measures upon arrival to Turkey

    Currently, there is no on-arrival quarantine in Turkey for travellers from Singapore. For travellers who exhibit symptoms and are tested positive on arrival, they will be referred to Turkish health authorities and will need to comply with the prevailing quarantine protocols. Overall, entry requirements into Turkey and Turkish COVID-19 guidelines come under the purview of the Turkish Government and travellers are required to comply with them.

While in Tukey

  • Mask On

    Turkey have eased certain regulations , mask is still mandatory as long you are not in open-air area. Museums , hotel lobbies and lifts , airport , indoor area , public transport , tour coach etc , mask still needs to be worn. Mask should be worn in the restaurants unless you are drinking or eating.

  • Social distancing

    It is not mandatory, however the government encourage social distancing safety measures to decrease the rate of infections

Before Departure to Singapore

  • Take Pre-Departure PCR Test within 48 hours prior to departure to Singapore

    Travellers should take note of the criteria for the pre-departure COVID-19 test (PDT) to Singapore, where the report must be in English (or with English translation) and contains the details of the COVID-19 test and traveller’s personal particulars including passport number. ICA allows the PDT to be taken either as a PCR test or as a professionally administered ART (self-swab is not allowed), taken within 2 days before departure to Singapore. Travellers aged 2 and below in the calendar year (i.e., born in or after 2020) are exempted from the PDT.

  • Submit pre-trip health and travel history declaration on SG Arrival Card within 72 hours prior to departure.
  • For Short-Term Visitors and eligible Work Permit Holders

    If you are a Short-Term Visitor (STV) or Work Permit Holder (WPH) in Singapore, you need to apply for a VTP. Depending on your proof of vaccination, you may be required to upload your vaccination certificate QR code on the VTP application portal. You should upload the QR code(s) of your final dose only (i.e. first and second doses); regardless of whether you have obtained a booster dose.

    A VTP is valid for 13 calendar days from traveler’s chosen date of entry. The traveler should reapply for a VTP if he is unable to enter Singapore during this period.

Arrival in Changi

  • Proceed with on-arrival PCR Test after immigration

    The enhanced 7-day testing regime for arriving VTL travellers will cease for those entering Singapore from 22 February 2022. In addition, VTL travellers will no longer need to perform an on-arrival Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test at Changi Airport. Instead, they will have up to 24 hours from their entry into Singapore to take a supervised self-swab (SSS) Antigen Rapid Test (ART) at one of the testing centres located across Singapore.

Travellers from Singapore are not required to submit a pre-departure negative PCR test result , provided that any one of the following documents is provided.

  • Proof of 2 doses of vaccinations (listed by WHO or Turkey ) where the last dose was administrated at least 14 days before arrival into Turkey
  • Proof of recovery from Covid-19 within the last six months starting from the 28th day of the first positive PCR test result.

All Singapore passport holders do not require a visa for visits less than 90 days within 180 days from date of initial entry to Turkey. As visa requirements often change at short notice, we advise you to contact your travel agency, or the Embassy of Turkey in Singapore for up-to-date information. Please ensure that your passport has space for entry and exit stamps or you could be denied entry into Turkey.

Passengers over 12 years of age and younger than 18 years old are allow to board the flight as long you can produce a PCR test with negative result within maximum of 72 hours before arriving Turkey

All travellers have to submit fill up a Turkey Entry Form ( HES CODE )72 hrs at most before arrival. Travellers must present the Turkey Entry Form upon check in and upon arriving immigration

Yes , in order strengthen safety measures to decrease the rate of infections , the government encourage social distancing , even though its not mandatory.

We would strongly advice you to buy lira (TRY) in Singapore before travelling to Turkey. Most money changers in Turkey do not accept Singapore dollars. If you plan to buy lira (TRY) in Turkey, please bring along new US dollars or Euros. You can get lira from banks and exchange bureaus (known as DOVIZ in Turkish). You can also get lira from ATMs, which are widely available in major cities and tourist areas.

Traveller may wish to first consider consulting a doctor, especially if feeling unwell and/or having symptoms. The traveller may also be referred for a precautionary PCR test. In addition, the Turkish Ministry of Health (MOH) publishes a list of authorised COVID-19 laboratories at https://hsgm.saglik.gov.tr/tr/haberler/yetkilendirilmis-covi-d-19-tani-laboratuvarlari.html but this list is not exhaustive. The traveller may also consider seeking assistance from the accommodation operator and travel operator, including arranging for a medical consultation and/or PCR test and defer to the advice from the medical specialist and relevant Turkish authorities.

  • For travellers who exhibit symptoms and are tested positive, they will be referred to Turkish health authorities and will need to comply with the prevailing quarantine protocols. Thus it is important to get your travel insurances ready before your trip.
