Zhujiajiao water town (朱家角) is a township in the Qingpu District of Shanghai. In the centuries past Zhujiajiao was a trading area due to the many canals, which were used to ferry products along in little boats and barges.
Lujiazui (陆家嘴) is located on the east side of the Huangpu River in Pudong and sits directly across Huangpu River from the Bund. On this modern land, there are many landmark buildings, like the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jinmao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Shanghai Tower.
Pudong Lujiazui Skywalk Corridor (空中长廊) is about 543 meters long, starting from the second floor of IFC in the west, crossing Yincheng Middle Road, crossing Dongtai Road along the north side of Jin Mao Tower to the east, following the World Financial Center to Lujiazui Ring Road, and connecting with the Lujiazui Circular Skywalk. The corridor overlooks the entire Lujiazui Financial City.
To appreciate the art of buildings, travelers could overlook the skyline of the Pudong Area from the Bund. For in-depth exploration, travelers could take the Bund Sightseeing Channel, Huangpu River Ferry, and Metro Line 2 to reach Lujiazui Area.
The Bund (外滩) is the iconic landmark of Shanghai and the area around the Bund is the tourist center of Shanghai and is the city’s most famous mile.
What impress travellers most should be the 52 buildings with various international architectural styles which makes the Bund “An Exhibition of International Buildings”. These are important historical sites and representative buildings in modern China, forming a beautiful landscape along the Huangpu River. There is no doubt that the Bund is the fusion of Western and Chinese Culture, an epitome of Shanghai’s history, and a great place to explore Shanghai’s today and see the future of Shanghai.
The City God Temple or Temple of the City Gods (上海城隍廟) is a folk temple located in the old city of Shanghai. It commemorates the elevation of Shanghai to municipal status and is the site of the veneration of three Chinese figures honoured as the city gods of the town.
